About this spot

A science museum themed around space and astronomy, adjacent to the astronomical observatory facility located in Mizusawa. Through exhibitions and a planetarium, you can enjoyably learn about the history of latitude observation once conducted in Mizusawa and the mechanisms of current cosmic observation using radio telescopes. Both children interested in science and adults will find new discoveries. Special programs may be held during summer vacation periods.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、水沢区で行われる夏祭りの花火です。「水の郷」の名の通り、噴水のある公園を舞台に、夜空を彩る花火が打ち上がります。打ち上げ数の公式発表はありませんが、地域に親しまれてきた夏祭りらしい、あたたかな雰囲気の中で楽しめる花火です。昼間に学んだ宇宙や歴史の記憶と重なって、より印象深い夜になります。

Tips

荒天時は中止の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認しましょう。終了後は駅周辺の道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Mizusawa Park. The planetarium has fixed screening times, so it's helpful to check in advance. The next memorial hall is about 10 minutes by car.
