About this spot

This is one of the “Koryu Centers,” facilities that Yasugi City uses in place of community centers, and it serves as a base for residents' activities in the Otsuka area. It has a tatami-floored training room, a meeting room equipped with a piano, a cooking practice room, and a library with about 400 books. The Otsuka area is located in the southeastern part of the Yasugi area, and you can see Mt. Daisen from the surrounding countryside. On the day of the Otsuka Akiba-san Fireworks Festival, food stall preparations get underway from the evening, creating the lively atmosphere typical of this traditional event connected to the local Akiba Shrine. Enjoy the dinner you brought or food from the stalls while relaxing and waiting for the show to begin.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Yasugi Sports Park. Roads in the area tend to get congested on the day, so if you're driving, it's best to arrive early. Checking the location of restrooms at this time will also give you peace of mind for the evening.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 45 minutes. It's nice to wait while watching the changing colors of the sky around sunset.
