This is a transfer station on the Ichibata Electric Railway, connecting Izumo City and the Matsue Shinjiko Onsen direction. From the platform, you can relax and watch trains coming and going, offering a fun time for both train-loving kids and adults. Tonight, the special “Satogata Fireworks Train” will depart from and arrive at this Kawato Station, so getting familiar with the atmosphere of the Ichibata Electric Railway during the day will make the night even more enjoyable. The peaceful charm of a local line is also part of the appeal.

When visiting inside the station, please be considerate of other passengers. It's a short walk or drive to the next stop, the Izumo Science Museum.
