The Naka River flowing through the center of Naka Town is known as a clear mountain stream running through a valley surrounded by mountains. Along the riverside near the Aioi district, you can see local families enjoying water play during summer; the clear water feels refreshingly cool even in midsummer. After playing at the forest park, this is the perfect time to cool off and rest.

2026年7月25日(土)に那賀町相生地区で行われる、地域の伝統行事「吹筒花火」です。打ち上げ花火とは異なり、大きな竹筒に火薬を仕込んで一気に炎と火の粉を吹き上げる勇壮な演目で、山あいの夜空に光の柱が立ち上る姿は迫力満点。地元の人々によって受け継がれてきた伝統の技を間近で見られる、那賀町ならではの貴重な体験です。
Tips
吹筒花火は火の粉が周囲に飛ぶことがあるため、係員の指示に従い安全な距離を保って観覧しましょう。荒天時は中止・延期の可能性があるため、事前に町の発表を確認してください。山あいの帰り道は暗いのでライトを用意しておくと安心です。
Tips
River flow and water depth vary by location, so young children should be accompanied by adults. Wear clothes that can get wet, bring towels and a change of clothes for safety. During high water levels, refrain from entering for safety.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 15 minutes. Afternoon when the sun becomes slightly softer is most comfortable for water play.
