This is a long-loved shopping street in front of JR Echigo Line's Uchino Station. Restaurants and shops line the street, where the liveliness of a university town coexists with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. Ahead of tonight's fireworks festival, this is an area where you can feel the crowds gradually growing from the evening onward. Cool off with a cold drink or snack while building up energy for watching the fireworks.
Tips
You can drive back from the Echigo Nanaura Seaside Line. Picking up drinks and light snacks here ahead of evening will make things easier later. There are also many restrooms and vending machines, making it a convenient rest spot.
