A scenic spot representing Sado, where steep cliffs and odd rock formations create an impressive vista. The contrast between the clear blue sea and cut rock faces is beautiful, and if you ride a sightseeing boat or glass-bottom boat, you can even enjoy views of the marine life below. From the observation deck, a panoramic view of the entire inlet spreads before you, allowing you to experience the scale of Sado's nature. The blue of the sea that bathes in summer sunlight shines especially vividly, making it one of the highlights of an island trip.

佐渡金山とともに歩んできた相川の町を彩る、鉱山祭の花火大会です。会場の相川浜公園には約500発の花火が打ち上がり、日本海の上空を大きく彩ります。翌7月26日(日)にも開催されるため、島内の予定に合わせて訪れることができます。1日かけて金山の歴史と海の絶景を楽しんだあとに見上げる花火は、佐渡の夏らしい特別な締めくくりになります。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は佐渡市の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し時間をずらして帰るのがおすすめです。海沿いは足元が暗くなるので、懐中電灯があると安心です。

Tips

Sightseeing boats and glass-bottom boats may close due to weather. The observation area has stairs, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Since there is little shade, prepare a hat and sunscreen for safety.
