About this spot
Tarōbō Shrine, where the dedication fireworks will be presented, becomes crowded with worshippers during the Millennium Festival. Climb the stone steps through the gaps between giant rocks, passing through the "Kaiun Iwa" (Fortune Opening Rock), and settle down for your meal and seat yourself in the shrine grounds. As the sun sets, the illuminated shrine grounds take on a special atmosphere unlike any other day.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、太郎坊宮の千日大祭にあわせて行われる奉納花火です。勝運の神様として信仰を集めてきた霊山の夜空に、約30分間花火が打ち上がります。巨石が並ぶ境内から見上げる花火は、街なかの花火大会とはひと味違う荘厳な雰囲気。夏の大祭ならではの特別な夜を、家族で味わいましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は太郎坊宮の発表で確認を。参道の石段は夜間暗くなるため、帰りの下山は足元に十分注意しましょう。混雑を避けるため、終了後は少し時間を置いてから移動するのもおすすめです。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Yōkaichi Honmachi Shopping Street. The approach has continuous stone steps, so it's safer to climb while it's still light before dark. A flashlight is helpful as it gets dark at night.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes required. Around sunset, you can enjoy both the shrine's lighting and the sunset
