This is the gateway to Fukui, also served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen. The station plaza is lined with life-size dinosaur monuments symbolizing Fukui, the dinosaur kingdom. Some even move and roar, making it an exciting photo spot even for small children. The commercial facility directly connected to the station also offers lunch and shopping, making it a perfect place to start the day.
Tips
Right by the Hokuriku Shinkansen and JR Fukui Station. Since the dinosaur monuments are outdoors, it's recommended to choose shaded spots when viewing them during the summer daytime. Having an early lunch inside the station will make the rest of your movements smoother.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 15 minutes. From morning to early afternoon, you can view it relatively calmly.
