A historic shrine said to have been founded in 701 (Taihoo 1) and considered the oldest Hachiman Shrine in the Kanto region. Located in the adjacent Shimotsuma City, the tranquil shrine grounds house historic shrine buildings. Beloved since ancient times for protection from misfortune and prayers for safe childbirth, the quiet grounds are perfect for taking a break from the summer heat.
