A historic hot spring area spanning from the Edo period, situated near the entrance to Matsukawa Gorge. The hot spring town features a free foot bath that gently soothes feet tired from gorge exploration. On festival day, street stalls line the hot spring area, making it an ideal spot to grab dinner while waiting for fireworks to begin. Due to its high elevation, the air becomes crisp and cool once the sun sets, heightening anticipation for the evening fireworks.

2026年7月25日(土)、高山村で開催される信州高山まつりの締めくくりとして打ち上げられる花火です。山あいの静かな夜空に大輪の花火が次々と開き、19時から20時ごろまでまつりのフィナーレを彩ります。1日かけて小布施の歴史散策と高山村の渓谷、温泉をめぐったあとに見上げる花火は、旅の締めくくりにふさわしい特別な光景です。標高の高い山里ならではの澄んだ夜空も、花火をいっそう美しく引き立てます。

荒天時の開催可否はまつりの公式発表で確認しましょう。会場周辺の駐車場には限りがあるため、早めの来場がおすすめです。終了後は帰路の道が混み合うことがあります。

About 10 minutes by car from Matsukawa Gorge. It's convenient to bring a towel for the foot bath. The evening can turn cold, so have a light jacket ready.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The sight of hot spring mist and sunset glow around dusk is particularly memorable.
