The town offers a complimentary foot bath perfect for easing the fatigue of gorge exploration. Strolling through the hot spring town reveals local souvenir shops and eateries, providing the perfect opportunity to rest before the festival. The high-altitude location ensures pleasantly cool air even in midsummer.
Tips
About 30 minutes by car from Tenryu Gorge. It's convenient to bring a towel for the foot bath. Plan to leave around 5 PM to return to the venue in time.
