On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Marine Festa fireworks festival will be held at Kominato Beach in Kakami-Kamicho. As the grand finale of this festival, which is named after the local specialty "ichigo-ni," fireworks light up the night sky above the Pacific Ocean from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Gazing up at the fireworks with the sound of the waves creates an openness unique to the Sanriku Sea. After enjoying the Sanriku Sea throughout the day by visiting Kabuashima and Taneshio Coast, watching these fireworks is a sight worthy of bringing your summer memories to a close.
