The beach that serves as the venue for the fireworks festival in Kakami-Kamicho. At the rocky tidal pools, you can enjoy observing shells and small creatures, and vendors offer food stalls serving Kakami-Kamicho's famous "ichigo-ni" (sea urchin and abalone soup) and other ocean delicacies. Spread out your picnic mat to secure your spot, and while watching the sunset sink into the sea, wait for the show to begin. It is a time worthy of the grand finale after a full day enjoying the Sanriku Sea.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Taneshio Coast. If you plan to explore the tidal pools, wear sandals or clothes you don't mind getting wet. Parking spaces are limited, so it is recommended to arrive early.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. The sunset ocean is most beautiful around the time of sunset.
