This roadside station is located in Hiraya Village (平谷村), Shimoina District. It has a direct-sales stand lined with fresh local vegetables and fruit, along with homemade side dishes and sweets, letting you fully enjoy the bounty of the mountains. The snack corner is popular for noodle and rice bowl dishes made with local ingredients, perfect for fueling up at the start of your trip. It's a convenient stopping point before heading on toward Hiraoka Dam (平岡ダム) and Tamoto Station (田本駅). Restrooms and rest areas are also well maintained, so you can stop by with peace of mind even with small children.

Tips

The parking lot is fairly large, but it can get crowded during summer vacation, so early arrival is recommended. The selection at the direct-sales stand is best from the morning through early afternoon. Since mountain roads continue from here, be sure to leave with plenty of time to spare.
