An unmanned JR Iida Line station built precariously on a cliff above the Tenryu River. With almost no houses nearby and a cliff immediately behind the station, it's counted as one of Japan's famous 'secret stations.' The small wooden station building and platform stand isolated, quietly telling the story of people who built their lives in this harsh mountain terrain. It's a railroad landscape rarely encountered in daily life. Exploration is typically done during train wait times.
