About this spot

This long-established fresh fish shop, now in its third generation, sits in the port town right by Owase Port. Alongside fresh fish landed at Owase Port, it also handles Ise lobster and turban shells, and its assorted sashimi platters, made from live fish filleted on the spot, are so popular that orders come in from across the country. On the day of the Owase Port Festival, foot traffic increases beyond usual, and just strolling past the storefronts conveys the atmosphere of a real port town. Before heading to the next spot, take a short break browsing Owase's seafood.

Just a short walk from Owase Station. Business hours vary by shop, so if there's a particular one you want to visit, it's reassuring to stop by early. Some shops accept cash only, so keep some coins on hand.
