This direct-sales stand for Ogi City's local products is a perfect stop to start your day. Ogi City is known as a producer of yokan (羊羹, sweet bean jelly) with a history dating back to the Edo period, and the stand's shelves are lined with local Japanese confectionery, seasonal vegetables, and processed goods. Homemade side dishes, rice balls, boxed lunches, and bread are also available, so be sure to have a proper lunch here. It's a relaxing time for the family to enjoy shopping while looking for souvenirs.

Tips

The parking lot is fairly large, but it can get crowded around midday on weekends and holidays. Choosing long-lasting yokan and other Japanese sweets lets you carry them worry-free until evening. It's also a good idea to take a restroom break here.

About 1 hour 15 minutes. The shop gets busy around lunchtime, so an early visit is reassuring
