About this spot

A verdant park with a history of being developed as a garden of the Ogi Clan during the Edo period. While known for its cherry blossoms as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, summer also offers refreshingly green trees, and simply walking along the small streams and pond edges in the park provides pleasant time. Historic stone steps and shrines remain in the park, and it's a spot where families can touch on Ogi's history while strolling. Resting on a bench in the shade is also recommended.

小城市芦刈町の海遊ふれあいパーク周辺を会場に開催される、地元の夏を彩る花火大会です。日が完全に暮れた20時、有明海に面した夜空に花火が次々と打ち上がります。街灯の少ない海辺ならではの澄んだ夜空に映える光の花は、都会の花火とはひと味違う迫力です。周囲を包む潮の香りと祭りのざわめきの中、家族で寄り添って見上げる時間は、夏の思い出として心に残るはずです。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しておきましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、余韻を楽しみながら少し時間をずらしての帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトを用意しておくと安心です。

Tips

It's just a short walk from the parking lot to the park. In summer, the sun is strong, so don't forget to stay hydrated. The park has elevation changes, so walking shoes are recommended for families with small children.
