An ancient temple reportedly founded during the Nara period, which along with the adjacent Sumiyoshi Shrine preserves the history of Hokuto-cho, Kasai City to the present day. The vermillion-lacquered multi-tiered pagoda standing in the temple grounds is designated as a Hyogo Prefecture cultural property, and its beautiful appearance reflected against the green of the surrounding trees is worth seeing. Located near Gohjuraskan, visiting both provides an opportunity to experience Kasai's ancient town landscape and religious history. The quiet temple grounds are perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle during a summer afternoon.

加西市役所の駐車場を会場に開催される、地域に親しまれてきた夏まつりの花火大会です。2026年8月2日(日)20時30分から20分間、約1,000発の花火が夜空を彩ります。市街地に近い立地のため会場へのアクセスがよく、家族連れが集まりやすいのも魅力のひとつです。市役所前の広い駐車場から見上げる花火は、遮るものが少なく開放感のある眺めが楽しめます。まつり本体の屋台やイベントとあわせて楽しめば、加西の夏の思い出がより一層深まります。

Tips

北条町駅から徒歩圏内です。当日は駐車場が観覧客で埋まるため、車で訪れる場合は周辺の臨時駐車場情報を事前に確認しましょう。荒天時は中止や延期となる場合があるため、開催可否は加西市の公式発表を確認してください。屋台も出るので、現地で軽食を調達することもできます。

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from Gohjuraskan. It's recommended to visit the adjacent Sumiyoshi Shrine as well. As the temple grounds have little shade, sunglasses or hats are recommended in summer.
