Held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this fireworks-on-the-water display takes place on the shore of Lake Abashiri. Fireworks launched from the lake spread out grandly across Hokkaido's wide night sky. On calm, windless nights, the fireworks' light reflects on the still lake surface, creating a beauty that feels like watching two fireworks displays at once. Looking up at the fireworks at night, on the same shore you visited during the day, makes for a special moment that fittingly closes out the day.
