The climax of the Shimukappu Village Furusato Festival, this grand fireworks display takes place at Shimukappu Village Farm Park. On Saturday, August 1, 2026, about 1,000 fireworks shells launch one after another into the village's night sky. The venue is close to the launch site, and the tremendous impact of watching fireworks so near they seem like they could fall on you is a charm unique to this village's fireworks display. Surrounded by mountains, the sound echoes well, giving a sense of presence quite different from fireworks displays in urban areas. Now in its 52nd year, this is the finale of a summer festival long beloved by the local community.
