About this spot
A roadside station serving as the gateway to Higashikawa, located at the foot of Daisetsuzan Mountain. In addition to a shop selling fresh vegetables and specialty products from the town, there is also a dining area using local ingredients, perfect for a good meal at the start of your trip. The warm wooden interior is enveloped in the calm atmosphere typical of Higashikawa. Before the festival, enjoy a leisurely lunch here.

2026年8月1日(土)20時30分から、東川町北町一帯で開催されるひがしかわどんとこい祭りの花火打ち上げです。大雪山のふもとに広がる静かな町の夜空に花火が次々と開き、都会の花火大会とはひと味違う穏やかな雰囲気の中で楽しめます。写真の町らしく、花火と星空が重なる美しい瞬間をカメラに収めるのもおすすめです。自然と文化にふれた1日の締めくくりとして、家族で夜空を見上げましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は東川町の公式発表で確認しましょう。会場周辺は街灯が少ないため、懐中電灯があると足元が安心です。終了後は駐車場からの退出が混み合うことがあるので、少し時間をおいての移動がおすすめです。
Tips
About 30 minutes by car from the Asahikawa area. The parking lot is spacious, but can be crowded on summer weekends. The rest area inside is comfortable for families with small children.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. Mornings to early afternoon are relatively quiet.
