About this spot

An organization of the town's commercial and industrial businesses, with its office on the second floor of Michi-no-Eki Higashikawa Michikusakan. Michikusakan is a roadside station located at the gateway to Daisetsuzan National Park, offering information on the town's attractions and events, as well as fresh local vegetables and specialty goods. On the day of the Higashikawa Dontokoi Festival, food stalls line the surrounding area from the evening, bustling with people enjoying local food while waiting for the show to begin.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Kitoushi Forest Park. The area around the venue gets crowded from the evening, so an early arrival is recommended. Food stalls are mostly cash-only, so having small change ready is reassuring.
