Onneyu Onsen (温根湯温泉) is also known as the birthplace of the wood-carved bear, a classic Hokkaido souvenir. The souvenir shops in the hot spring town are lined with wood-carved bears and other local specialties, making it enjoyable just to browse as you walk. Take a leisurely stroll toward evening along streets that retain the atmosphere of an old-fashioned hot spring town.
