An ancient temple in central Kushimoto, the Okyo Rosetsu Museum houses powerful wall paintings by Edo-period painter Maruyama Okyo and his student Nagasawa Rosetsu, who stayed in Kushimoto. Fusuma paintings featuring bold brushstrokes of tigers and dragons are stunning when viewed up close. 2026年8月1日(土)開催、東牟婁郡串本町の串本漁港堤防を会場に行われる、串本まつりのフィナーレを飾る花火大会です。約4,000発の花火が19時45分から21時までの間、熊野灘に面した夜空に次々と打ち上がります。漁港の堤防という開けた立地のため、花火が海面に映り込む美しい景色も楽しめるのが魅力です。潮風を感じながら見上げる大輪の花火は、海の町串本ならではの夏の締めくくりにふさわしい光景です。
