River-themed interactive museum: enjoy learning and water play

About this spot

An interactive museum standing on the Arakawa riverbank, themed on rivers and water. Inside, scale models of the Arakawa basin and life-sized displays of boats that traveled the rivers let families enjoy learning about river formation and connections to everyday life. Outside, there's a water-play area where children can play in water and a large water wheel, making it especially lively in summer. A favorite family spot combining learning and play.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、水天宮祭にあわせて行われる寄居町の花火大会です。荒川の渓谷美で知られる玉淀河原を舞台に、約5,000発の花火が夜空に次々と打ち上がります。両岸に迫る岩壁に花火の音が反響し、渓谷ならではの迫力ある響きを生み出します。静かな川面に花火の光が映り込む様子も見どころのひとつで、規模の大きさと渓谷の景観美が一体となった、寄居町を代表する夏の風物詩です。

Tips

荒天時は中止または順延の場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。終了後は駅周辺や道路が大変混雑するため、河原で少し余韻を楽しんでからの移動がおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトなどを用意しておくと安全です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Yoriimachi Station. Bring a change of clothes and towel if using the water-play area. Summer vacation brings crowds, so visiting soon after opening is recommended.
