A famous castle ruin of the Sengoku period built atop cliffs nestled between the Arakawa and Fukuzawa rivers. Designated a national historic site, remnants like earthen ramparts and moats are preserved as a verdant park today. From the castle site, you can overlook the Arakawa gorge and understand why this location was chosen as a strategic stronghold. A history museum on-site details the castle's history and excavated artifacts.
