Located along National Route 197 on the coastline of the scenic Sagaseki district, this roadside station offers commanding views. From the observation space, you can see panoramic vistas stretching from the Kunisaki Peninsula all the way to Shikoku. The station also features a gift shop brimming with nationally renowned brand seafood—including Seki horse mackerel and Seki mackerel—along with local specialty items, making it the perfect starting point for your journey.

早吸日女神社の夏祭りにあわせて行われる、佐賀関港古宮赤灯台突堤の花火大会です。2026年7月30日(木)、港の夜空に約1,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がります。関あじ・関さばで知られる港町の夜を彩る花火は、海面に映る光とともに幻想的な雰囲気を作り出します。地元に長く根づいた夏祭りの締めくくりとして、多くの家族連れでにぎわいます。

Tips

荒天時は中止・延期になる場合があるため、当日は大分市の公式発表で開催可否を確認しましょう。終了後は港周辺の道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトなどがあると安心です。

Tips

Just a short drive from Sagaseki Port. On the day of the fireworks festival, the area will become increasingly crowded from late afternoon onward, so an early afternoon visit is recommended.
