Watch approximately 3,000 fireworks taking advantage of the river width

About this spot

The 78th edition of this traditional Toyama summer fireworks festival held on August 1, 2026 (Saturday). About 3,000 fireworks burst forth in succession on the wide Jinzu River embankment below Arisawa Bridge. With wide river width and minimal obstructions, you can fully enjoy the large firework bursts. The sight of fireworks reflecting on the calm water surface is also a notable sight, creating a spectacular scene befitting Toyama's summer finale.

After the show, surrounding roads become very congested, so taking time to linger on the embankment before departing is recommended. Since the riverbank is dark, prepare a smartphone light or similar for safety.

Best time to visit

7:40 PM–8:25 PM show time. Secure a good viewing spot about 30 minutes before start.
