About this spot

A summer tradition held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, set at Uno Port (宇野港), the gateway to the Naoshima (直島) ferry route. About 3,000 fireworks launch one after another over the calm surface of the Seto Inland Sea, and you can watch them unfold in the settled atmosphere unique to a port with little wave action. The way the ferries' lights mingle with the fireworks is another highlight of this port-town night view. This brings Tamano's summer day to a close, rounding out the afterglow of the sea, zoo, and port art you enjoyed earlier.

Tips

The event may be cancelled or postponed in severe weather, so check the organizer's announcement on the day for whether it will go ahead. Uno Station and the surrounding roads get very crowded after the show ends, so it is recommended to enjoy the afterglow for a while before heading home.

Timed to the 19:40-20:10 show. Secure your spot at least 30 minutes before it starts
