An old-fashioned street leading up to the gate of Saidaiji Kannon-in (西大寺観音院), lined with locally rooted shops amid a retro streetscape. Just walking here lets you soak in the lived-in atmosphere of the Saidaiji area, and you can enjoy food-stall snacking along the way too. Stop by here at the start of your day to build anticipation for your visit to Kannon-in.

Tips

Right next to Saidaiji Kannon-in. You can take a relaxed walk taking in the old-fashioned streetscape. When snacking as you walk, please use the space in front of each shop.
