Counted among Japan's three greatest Inari shrines, this shrine is striking for its brilliant red torii gates. The approach is lined with large and small torii gates, while the grounds display a unique landscape filled with vividly colored shrine buildings. It's known for a rare form of worship that preserves strong elements of shinbutsu-shugo (syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism), allowing visitors to feel the profound depth of history while paying respects. 2026年8月2日(日)20時から、備前国一宮として親しまれる吉備津彦神社の御田植祭にあわせて打ち上げられる花火です。桃太郎伝説ゆかりの吉備路の夜空に花火が次々と開き、境内の厳かな雰囲気とあわせて趣深い光景を楽しめます。吉備津神社や最上稲荷など、神社めぐりで歴史にふれた1日の締めくくりとして、家族で夜空を見上げましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は神社や岡山市の公式発表で確認しましょう。境内は夕方から混み合うため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、時間差での移動が安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Kibitsu Shrine. The spacious grounds include stairs, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Summer heat can be intense, so bring a hat and water.
