About this spot
A historic park developed on the ruins of Bicchu Takamatsu Castle, famous for the water siege strategy employed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The park features a lotus pond that retains traces of the water moats that once surrounded the castle, and is known as a scenic spot where beautiful lotus flowers bloom in summer. A museum within the park provides clear information about the siege warfare tactics of the Sengoku period. The peaceful atmosphere surrounded by greenery and water creates an ideal setting to pass time leisurely until evening.

2026年8月2日(日)20時から、備前国一宮として親しまれる吉備津彦神社の御田植祭にあわせて打ち上げられる花火です。桃太郎伝説ゆかりの吉備路の夜空に花火が次々と開き、境内の厳かな雰囲気とあわせて趣深い光景を楽しめます。吉備津神社や最上稲荷など、神社めぐりで歴史にふれた1日の締めくくりとして、家族で夜空を見上げましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は神社や岡山市の公式発表で確認しましょう。境内は夕方から混み合うため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、時間差での移動が安心です。

About 10 minutes by car from Shogoin Inari. The flat grounds are easy to walk, and the area is stroller-friendly. Summer lotus flowers are best viewed from early morning through early afternoon, so timing is key to catching blooms in full display.

About 1 hour 15 minutes. As evening approaches, the light softens and makes for more pleasant exploration.
