An ancient temple representing Ishii Town, said to be where Kobo Daishi Kukai studied in his youth. Also known as a branch temple (bangai fusatsu) of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, the lush temple grounds offer a peaceful atmosphere. While the temple is famous as a spring plum blossom site, the verdant summer grounds are equally charming, and it is the perfect place to pause and catch your breath during your visit. 石井町高川原を会場に開催される、地域に根ざした夏祭りの花火大会です。2026年8月1日(土)20時30分から15分間、約1,000発の花火が夜空に次々と打ち上がります。50回を数える歴史ある祭りで、地元の人々に長く愛されてきた地域密着型の花火大会ならではのアットホームな雰囲気が魅力です。短い時間に凝縮された花火だからこそ、瞬きせずに見届けたい特別な15分間です。

高川原駅から徒歩圏内です。会場周辺は当日混雑するため、早めの到着がおすすめです。荒天時は中止や延期の場合があるため、開催可否は石井町の公式発表で確認してください。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the center of Ishii Town. The grounds are surrounded by nature, so insect repellent is recommended during the summer months. There is a short walk from the parking lot, so wear comfortable shoes.
