About this spot

An experiential history park featuring life-sized reconstructions of Yayoi period pit dwellings and Kofun period houses. Ancient buildings are scattered throughout the grounds, and families can stroll through scenery that feels like stepping back in time. The spacious grounds offer plenty of room to relax and enjoy, and the museum displays artifacts from excavations, making it an enjoyable way to learn about ancient life. A unique Ishii Town spot where both children and adults can experience history together.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Dogaku-ji. Since outdoor exhibits are the main focus, remember hats, sunscreen, and plenty of water during the summer months. The lawn area is great for relaxing, so bringing a leisure sheet is recommended.
