This is the spacious lawn area of Kusamakura Onsen Tensui (草枕温泉てんすい). Set in a quiet spot surrounded by countryside hills, a pleasant cool breeze blows in the evening, making it a great place to spread out a takeout dinner and relax. The wide lawn is also great for letting children run around freely. Ease the fatigue of a day spent exploring with a relaxed time cooling off in the evening.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Oama Onsen. It is reassuring to prepare a takeout dinner in advance. Don't forget insect repellent in summer, either.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 45 minutes. The changing colors of the sky around sunset make for a pleasant time.
