Stroll through Higotai Park, the highland park from which the festival's name derives

About this spot

A park named after the "Higotai," rare sapphire-blue spherical flowers that grow naturally in the highlands of Aso. The landscape opens up with the expansive highland scenery characteristic of Ubuyama Village, and views of the Aso mountain range can be seen in the distance. Learning the origin of tonight's festival name before enjoying the fireworks will make the Ubuyama Village summer festival feel even closer. The spacious grounds provide a leisurely and comfortable place for the whole family to enjoy.
