Held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this is the Hokkoku Fireworks Kawakita Tournament, the climax of the 41st Kawakita Festival (川北まつり). Set against the backdrop of the wide riverbed of the Tedori River (手取川), fireworks of a scale among the best in the prefecture will fill the night sky starting at 20:15. The sight of fireworks bursting one after another across the wide open sky is a spectacular display made possible by the open riverbed. As a festival embraced by the whole community, it draws many families every year.
