This riverside green space was developed by Yurihonjo City on the banks of the Koyoshi River, a Class A river that originates at Mt. Chokai and flows into the Sea of Japan. There's no playground equipment—just a quiet spot with a parking lot, a water fountain, and restrooms—so you can simply spend time gazing at the wide riverbank and the river's flow. Nishitakizawa Waterside Plaza, the night's fireworks venue, is also on the banks of this same Koyoshi River, so taking a look along the riverside during the day gives you a clue to the atmosphere at night.
Tips
About a 10-minute drive from Kadare. The riverbank has little to block the sunlight, so prepare a hat and drinks.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. The afternoon hours, when the breeze is pleasant, are comfortable to spend time in
