About this spot

A road station set in the rice paddies of southern Akita Prefecture. In addition to a direct sales store handling fresh vegetables and local specialties grown locally, there is also a restaurant where you can enjoy menus using Akita ingredients, making it perfect for lunch at the start of your trip. This road station, named after the wild geese, a migratory bird, also features the surrounding rice paddy landscape as one of its attractions. After enjoying local flavors here, head out on your afternoon town stroll.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from the venue area. Around the Obon period, tourist traffic gets heavy, so early arrival around midday is recommended. A cooler bag is useful for souvenirs.
