These are the remains of an Edo-period boat landing that once housed the official ships of the Tsushima Domain. The stone-built inlet still retains its appearance from that time, telling the story of Tsushima's history as a key hub of maritime trade. The quiet inlet scenery offers a calm experience quite different from the lively castle town stroll. Located close to Izuhara Port, where tonight's fireworks will be launched, it lets you feel the island's deep connection to the sea.
Tips
Within walking distance of central Izuhara. The footing around the ruins can be uneven in places, so walk carefully.
