About this spot

This ancient temple, known as the family temple of the Sanada clan, holds the graves of successive clan heads, including Sanada Yukitaka. Nestled on a deep, green mountain slope, the temple grounds are wrapped in quiet, a place where you can pay your respects while reflecting on the warriors who lived through the age of civil war. It's a solemn moment fitting for the conclusion of a historical stroll.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Oyashiki Park. It's good manners to visit the grounds quietly. In summer, the abundant shade makes it a cool place to spend time.
