Next stop: Watch about 500 fireworks from the lakeshoreAbout this spot
This is the parking lot on the west shore of Sanaru-ko Park, which spreads to the west of central Hamamatsu. Sanaru-ko Park is a comprehensive park of about 49 hectares, equipped with a roughly 6-kilometer walking course around the lake, a bird-watching hut, a rowing course, and more, serving as a place of relaxation for residents. The area near the clock tower in the west shore park, where the fireworks are launched, is closed to entry on the day, so watch from an accessible spot along the lakeshore. Spread out a leisure sheet, enjoy dinner, and wait for the show to begin along with the cool breeze blowing across the lake. The appeal of this stop is being able to wait for the fireworks amid the open lakeside scenery, despite being close to the city center.
Tips
Parking near the venue is limited, so arriving early is recommended. The west shore, where the fireworks are launched, is closed to entry on the day, so choose your viewing spot following staff instructions. There are few restaurants nearby, so it is reassuring to prepare dinner in advance.
Best time to visit
