About this spot

A shopping street located almost in the center of Kanoya, adjoining the restaurant district. In a streetscape improvement project in Heisei 14 (2002), the building facades were renovated, and the street was rebuilt into a bright, open arcade. The pedestrian-only zone held every year has become firmly established as a place for residents to gather. On festival days, the street grows lively from evening onward, letting you feel the area's distinctive bustle. Spend the time until nightfall relaxing while soaking up the local atmosphere.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Kanoya Rose Garden. Shops can get crowded on the festival day, so an early visit is recommended. It's reassuring to use the restrooms near the venue during this time.
