Held at 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026, this fireworks display closes out summer in Aira-cho. From a venue surrounded by the rural hills of the Osumi Peninsula, fireworks are launched one after another into the night sky. Thanks to the rural setting with few tall buildings, the charm lies in being able to fully enjoy the fireworks spreading across the clear night sky. It's a fitting finale to a day spent touring Aira, a town of myth and history, the climax of a summer night watched together by the whole community.
