This ancient temple, located near the center of Sekijuku and said to have been established in 741, houses the Jizo statue known locally as one of Japan's oldest. Affectionately called 'Sekijuku's Jizo,' it is believed to bring blessings for business prosperity and safe travel. The main hall, nestled harmoniously into the post-town streetscape, evokes the history that Edo-period travelers must have visited. The convenient location, right on the sightseeing route, is also appealing.

Tips
荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は亀山市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し時間をおいてから帰路につくのがおすすめです。河川敷は足元が暗いのでスマホのライトを活用しましょう。
