About this spot

The former castle ruins of the Kameyama domain, which flourished as a key strategic point on the Tokaido Highway during the Edo period. The remaining multi-story turret is the only castle building structure in Mie Prefecture and is a precious historical asset. Now developed as a park beloved by local residents, the walking paths along the stone walls offer sweeping views of Kameyama's townscape. The spacious grounds with plenty of shade are perfect for resting after the post-town walk. Spend a time full of Kameyama's history before the evening fireworks.

2026年8月22日(土)開催、江戸時代から続く宿場町関宿を舞台にした納涼花火大会です。鈴鹿川の河川敷から約2,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がり、古い町並みが残る夜空を彩ります。川沿いという開けた立地のため、遮るものが少なく花火を大きく見上げられるのも魅力。宿場町散策から続く歴史ある1日の締めくくりとして、夏の夜空に響く花火の音を家族で楽しみましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は亀山市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し時間をおいてから帰路につくのがおすすめです。河川敷は足元が暗いのでスマホのライトを活用しましょう。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Sekijuku. The interior of the multi-story turret is limited in its open days, so viewing the exterior is mainly recommended. The park has many benches, perfect for leisurely relaxation.
