About this spot

A lush, tree-surrounded green park extending at the edge of Sasayama's castle town. Tanba ware kilns and a hall dedicated to a local master of rakugo (traditional comic storytelling) are scattered throughout, making it a popular rest spot during strolling. You can slowly rest your body, tired from castle town walking, on benches in the shade of trees—a charming feature. Spend your time leisurely until evening in preparation for the fireworks festival.

Tips

Within walking distance from the Taisho Roman Museum. The park has many tree-shaded areas and is relatively comfortable even in summer. Restrooms are well-maintained, making it convenient for preparations before heading to the venue.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes required. As evening approaches, it becomes cooler and more comfortable.
