About this spot

This is the castle site where the Yamasaki Domain's administrative office was located during the Edo period, and its jinya gate still remains today as part of the site. Though it was a flatland castle without a main keep, it is a valuable remnant that conveys the history of a castle town that once flourished here. The surrounding area also has townscapes that evoke the feel of the domain era, and families can take a leisurely walk through the calm atmosphere typical of a mountain-valley castle town. Touch on this historic side of Yamasaki before the summer festival.
