A fireworks display with a proud 61-year history, held in the Yunokawa Onsen district, known as Hakodate's inner retreat. Fireworks launch from near the mouth of the Matsukura River at 7pm, creating an atmospheric night scene where the lights of the hot spring inns overlap with the glow of the fireworks. The appeal is being able to enjoy the fireworks in the calm atmosphere unique to a hot spring town.
