This fireworks festival with 61 years of history is held in the Yunokawa Onsen hot spring town, known as Hakodate's inner retreat. Approximately 3,000 fireworks are launched from near the mouth of the Matsukura River starting at 7 PM, creating an emotionally rich nightscape where the lights from hot spring inns blend beautifully with the glow of the fireworks.
